What?
This interactive graph uses Adobe Flex technology which is a cross-platform development framework for creating rich Internet applications (RIAs). It could display key indicators such as the unemployment rate, consumer price index and average weekly income.
Why?
We want to make it fast and easy for our customers to find these key figures. Additionally it would be easy to obtain source data for re-use.
When?
The release of this graph is dependent on public interest and we encourage you to give us your feedback!

Yes, the source data should be linked and accessible. Is a graph overlay option a possibility, where I might view two or three simultaneously?? Taking up John's (26/08/2009 14:56:20) very salient comment about the presence of indicators other than the overtly economic would certainly juice things up a bit too. Really nice work - thanks.

Great idea especially if you can expand to include a few social indicators that are not economic (ie some of the issues discussed at the recent national community indicators summit sponsored by ABS). The window for the graphs could do with being a bit bigger - I couldn't see how it could be dragged bigger.

Love the hover ability. Output looks much better then ABS Graph.
