What?
The 'If Australia was 100 Businesses' concept looks to build on the 'If Australia was 100 People' data visualisation used on the Health Topics @ a Glance page.
Why?
This data visualisation allows us to better visualise the impact of different statistics by reducing the number of Australian Businesses to 100.
When?
There is no current release for this product as it is a proof of concept only, but dependant on demand this product may be developed further.
Please note: we are experimenting with SVG and we are still working on making this project compatible with all browsers. If this concept does not work in your browser, please let us know by leaving a comment below. A direct link to the SVG file for this project can be found here.

I'm using IE8 on XP. The visualisation is not visible. I can only see the code behind it.

Thanks for the amazing insight! Especially for [url={ Link } education[/url].

Very nice work.
There should be easier controls for selection which allow the user to view all options before selecting them. The dropdowns hide options.
There should be a way to view the full '100' businesses for a topic area overlayed on each other, such as for business size - and potentially overlay additional information over this (ie: business size then internet access) to show the overlaps in data (number of micro-businesses with internet access).
The way the businesses are coloured to stand out is good, however I don't understand why the coloured businesses don't start from the top left of the image - some sets start in the middle or towards the bottom of the image.
Cheers,
Craig
